The challenge
Warehouse teams needed proof attached to their transactions: a photo of damaged stock on receipt, a signed delivery note, a picture of a pallet before it ships.
Not every scanner has a camera, and the files had to stay on the client's own network.
What we built
- Three ways to attach. Scanners with a camera capture in the flow. Desktop users upload a file against a transaction. Camera-less scanners show a QR code that opens the capture page on a phone.
- No app to install. The phone page is a web app hosted on the local network.
- Encrypted storage. Images are resized, encrypted and stored in the database, linked to the transaction.
- A separate audit log recording who added or changed each attachment, with before and after states.
